The user benefit of STARSHIP is:
- A system can be completely delivered and operational without the smartphone layer. Smart Switches bring master and sub-master control and up to 6 way switching. Sounds complex but it isn’t. It is kept “Simple Stupid”. The wireless is the “New” but you can still have wired CAN based switches “the Old”.
- Small Investment can be made to switch the really hard stuff easily: example is switching rear spot lights on a caravan from vehicle cab. Less then a $400 investment and easy to implement.
- Then, when a user wishes to add automation, Scene control, smartphone App control or remote monitoring, they simply install the Wi-Fi protocol “Matter” as an overlay network. The user can then redefine switch modes and scene automation without programming by others. Its all done on the Smartphone. Its all Wireless. This wireless is the “New”.
The commercial benefit to the vehicle fitout builder is:
- Significant reduction in installation complexity. Installation time, cabling cost and weight, commissioning time and troubleshooting time are all at an absolute minimum.
- Significant improvement in simplicity of use.
- Affordable new technology for users. Generally half the price of traditional systems.
The Bluetooth connectivity uses the new IEEE 802.15.4 transport layer. Results are 100m line of sight and 40m through metal skins. This is used for th wireless physical switches and the RADAR Tank Monitoring. They cooperate independently of the other communication methods with high encrypted security. They are battery operated with a minimum of 4 year life.

Smarts Inside:
- Double press a switch to change to an alternative LED color.
- You can have two way, three way or even 4 way switching.
- Wireless switches use the new Bluetooth compatible standard of 100m range.
- Rubberized engraved 8 button keypad is waterproof and can be outside.
- Light sensors are built into some of the switches.
- Every button on any switch/keypad can be custom engraved
- Wireless Switch has 40m Range
- Double press a switch to change to an alternative LED color, typically amber.
- Double press again and both colors are combined: white and amber gives a golden glow.
- When using RGBW lights, two completely different colors can be selected for the double press.
- The 7in STAR-Touch display is used for a wider range of options: digital switching, energy flows with Victron app.
- We added our compact modem, which is also a WiFi router so you can operate without the internet directly from the touch screen. The Touch Screen is Wireless and can be placed anywhere with 12V power supply.
